PATIENT DETAILS– Baby Ashwini Sardar Nale, a 14–15-day-old female child, has been admitted at Sai Sparsh Children’s Hospital, Kolhapur since birth under the care of Dr. Vyankatesh Tarkasband (Dixit) and Dr. Amol Girwalkar (Neonatologists).


The baby was born preterm at just 27 weeks of pregnancy with an extremely low birth weight of approximately 0.96 kg and is suffering from RDS (Respiratory Distress Syndrome) and ELBW (Extremely Low Birth Weight).

Since birth, the baby requires intensive NICU and PICU care and is expected to stay for approximately 75 days in the hospital for further medical management.
The estimated medical expenses are around Rs. 7,00,000/-.
