Baby Omansh’s Recovery Journey
When 9-month-old Baby Omansh Pandya was diagnosed with Leukocyte Adhesion Deficiency (LAD-1) a rare and life-threatening immune disorder his parents were devastated. Doctors advised an urgent Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) as the only curative option. The estimated treatment cost was ₹30,00,000, an amount far beyond the family’s capacity.
Before the transplant, Omansh required multiple chemotherapy cycles, intensive NICU care, and continuous medical support, as even minor infections could become fatal. With each passing day, his fragile health made the situation more desperate.
Story
Through the support of compassionate donors, funds were raised to help Omansh receive the medical care he urgently needed. This timely assistance ensured that he could undergo chemotherapy, receive NICU treatment, and begin preparing for the bone marrow transplant.
Despite his tender age, Omansh showed incredible strength throughout his treatment. His fight against LAD-1 was long and painful, but he bravely endured hospital stays, chemotherapy sessions, and multiple medical procedures. His parents stood by him through moments filled with fear and uncertainty.
His father, Mr. Himank Pandya, works in a modest private job with a very limited income, while his mother, Mrs. Khushboo Himank Pandya, is a homemaker. Supporting a family of five on a minimal income became nearly impossible. Even after borrowing money and seeking help from relatives, the family still faced a ₹6,00,000 shortfall, making continued treatment extremely difficult.
