Help Save Twin Babies of Mrs. Pallavi Vaibhav Chavan (Premature and Critically) The twin babies of Mrs. Pallavi Vaibhav Chavan were born prematurely at just 28 weeks, each weighing extremely low at birth. These fragile newborns are currently fighting for their lives in an intensive care unit (NICU) due to severe complications. Both babies were born extremely premature at 28 weeks with very low birth weight and are facing serious complications including Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), NEC, and Sepsis. 1. Baby 1 (Birth weight: 1.064 kg) is on ventilator/blender support. CRP is positive, and the baby is being treated with strong IV antibiotics, fluids, and is kept in a septic isolation area. 2. Baby 2 (Birth weight: 1.300 kg) also has confirmed sepsis. Blood culture has shown Acinetobacter infection, and CRP is positive. The baby is receiving advanced IV antibiotics, fluids, and is under strict NICU care. Total Estimated Cost of Treatment: ₹7,20,000

Update 24 December 25

Baby Pallavi Chavan – I (Male | 45 Days Old) The baby is currently off oxygen support and is clinically stable. He is receiving IV antibiotics and caffeine therapy as part of his ongoing treatment. His CBC levels are stable, and CRP is negative, indicating no active infection at present. The baby has started enteral feeds and is being fed 7 ml every 2 hours, which he is tolerating well. Baby Pallavi Chavan – II (Female | 45 Days Old) The baby is stable on minimal medical support. A PCV transfusion has been administered as advised by the medical team. She is on antibiotics and caffeine therapy, and her CBC parameters are improving. The CRP report is negative, which is a positive sign in her recovery. She is currently receiving feeds of 20 ml every 2 hours through a feeding tube, and her tolerance to feeds is improving steadily. Overall Medical Status Both babies are showing positive clinical progress under continuous NICU care. While their condition has stabilized, they still require ongoing monitoring, medications, nutrition support, and medical supervision to ensure steady recovery. Continued treatment and care remain essential in the coming weeks.

Baby 1 (BOY) is currently 54 days old and is breathing comfortably on room air without oxygen support. The baby is receiving gavage feeds of 14 ml every 2 hours and is tolerating feeds well. The current weight on 02/01/2026 is 1.355 kg, showing improvement from 1.350 kg recorded on 01/01/2026. The baby is clinically stable and under regular monitoring.
Baby 2 (GIRL) is also 54 days old and is stable on room air without oxygen support. The baby is on gavage feeds of 17 ml every 2 hours and is tolerating feeds satisfactorily. The current weight on 02/01/2026 is 1.550 kg, which is maintained from 1.550 kg on 01/01/2026. The baby remains stable and continues to receive appropriate neonatal care.
Eye examination (ROP screening) has been conducted for both babies. The findings show immature retina, BRV Zone 3, which requires close observation. The next detailed ROP follow-up examination is scheduled on 16/01/2026 to monitor retinal development and ensure timely intervention if required.

Update 9 January 26

The twin babies are showing slow but positive improvement. They are currently being fed their mother’s milk along with saline (RT5). Doctors are closely monitoring both the feeding quantity and timing. At present, each baby is tolerating 18 ml per feed. Over the next 2–3 days, the medical team plans to initiate spoon feeding (5 ml each) and carefully observe how the babies respond. Based on their tolerance and overall condition, doctors will determine the next treatment protocol and further course of care. The babies remain under continuous medical supervision, and their progress is being monitored on a day-to-day basis.
