Help Save Baby Uzma’s Life!

Baby of Uzma Saad Qadri, a 12-day-old newborn, is fighting for his life at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai. Soon after birth, the baby developed severe breathing difficulties and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with multiple life-threatening conditions. He is currently on ventilator support and battling Large Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA)—a serious heart defect causing improper blood flow—along with lung collapse, Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS), and Sepsis. The child’s condition is extremely critical and requires immediate surgical intervention. Doctors have strongly recommended the surgical closure of the PDA, followed by a prolonged ICU stay and continuous medical management involving antibiotics, inotropic support, and constant monitoring. Without timely treatment, the baby’s chances of survival are very low. The estimated cost of the treatment is ₹17,00,000, which includes surgery, ICU care, and post-operative recovery expenses. Unfortunately, the family comes from a financially poor background. The baby’s father, Mr. Saad Imran Qadri, works a private job and earns only ₹1.9 lakh annually as per the official income certificate. With household expenses already difficult to manage, arranging such a large sum for medical treatment is beyond their means.
